About Rho Automation

Built from a problem we experienced at the bench.

Rho Automation began with a simple frustration: laboratory inventory records were often wrong almost as soon as they were updated.

We wanted a system that reflected reality without asking researchers to stop what they were doing and maintain another manual process.

Our origin

A lab-bench problem, approached with a systems mindset.

Rho Automation was founded by a cancer biology researcher who repeatedly encountered the same issue: the lab's inventory record could not keep pace with the way people actually worked.

The solution was not another form or another spreadsheet. It was to make the physical storage environment itself capable of reporting what was present.

That idea brought together laboratory experience with expertise in machine learning, robotics, detection logic, and hardware integration.

Our principles

What guides the product.

01

Built for real labs

Every decision should survive contact with an actual working bench.

02

No busywork

A system should not rely on perfect user compliance to remain accurate.

03

Trustworthy by default

The record must be clear, current, and useful enough that teams rely on it.

The team

Laboratory experience meets automation engineering.
